hey, im rebuilding a 250r i recieved in boxes and have run across a part that i dont have a clue what it is. sorry, cant get pics, but it is in the shape of a I, a tube with plates on each end. both ends have 2 holes in it and the tube appears to be a place for a bolt. is it a motor mount? thanks for any help.

If it looks like this then its your headstay
mounts under the gas tank in between the frame rails and to the head.

yea it mounts inbetween the top of your frame. it bolts onto your cylinder head.

thats what i was thinking,..but there are no mounts where the motor mounts should be and its about 3 inches shorter. thanks for the input though, anyone else want to give it a shot lol? thanks

hey ben i have built several 250r's and that is the only thing i can think of too head stay it bolts to the top of the cly and into frame below tank(in between top rails of frame ) only one way to fit it in it could be the lower rear motor mount if it is an 86 or 87 goes on back of motor and between swing arm
