Swing arm differences?

Hey guys, Im a newbie here. Just curiouis if you might know if theres a difference between 85 250r atc swingarms and 86 trx 250r swingarms as far as carrier size goes? My problem is ai cracked my 86 swing arm, got a 85 atc 250r swing arm on ebay, and got one of those billet carriers as well since my 86 carrier was thrashed and this billet carrier does not fit. I tried spreading the carrier housing there on the swing arm apart and everything. Is there a difference that you know of? IM trying to get this thing back together to sell but not having any luck....looks like i might have to find a 86 swing arm?

The 85 swingarm takes a different carrier. The 86 is the same as the 86 thru 89 TRX250R carriers.
