what first?

i realy dont kno what to do to the engine first...i want to put some engine work,and im pretty sure i will bore it.i've never MXed i've always dragged and i want to try mx...well after i bore it out(i was thikin of 80 over?) could anyone tell me the best thing to do after the bore.?..realy appreciate it,neil

Boring/piston and cam pretty much need to be done at the same time to see any real difference so the cam would be next. After that youll wanna look into a full exhaust and aftermarket head studs if you go higher than 11:1 compression. Even if you dont, I would reccomend them. Remove the choke from your carb to start out with and follow the guide in the "tech articles" section of the site. Later down the road you can look into getting it port+polished and get a new carb.

So to start, a new piston and cam is what I would start with followed by a full exhaust...
