Is a +2 axle ok for trail riding, I would like more stability but I am afraid of getting stuck somewhere. Thanks

The +2 axle on your 300 should be no problem at all. I am running a 250R axle in my 400 which is basically 2" wider than the stock 400. Which is wider even than the 300 axle. I even ran the 250R axle in my old 300 which I think made it +3 or +4 over stock.

you could even run a plus 4 axle if you wanted, and plus 2 a-arms

I wasn't aware that the 250r axle fit in a 250x/300ex

Actually I had a 250R swingarm modified to work on the 300ex. So the carrier and brake setup & axle was all 250R stuff. I don't remember forsure if you could install a 250R axle and carrier right into the 300ex swingarm or not.

I know what your saying. I was trying to just explain the width issue, nothing more than that.
