If so, how do you go about doing it? Can I make my scratched up plastic shiny? If I wanted to paint it, how would I do it?

You can also paint atv plastic. I painted mine with the Krylon Fusion paint. As long as you take your time and do it right it comes out really good.

yes it can be painted, I have seen show quads with painted plastic. ANd yes the paint will crack when the plastic is bent.

Plastic Renew is worthless...all it did was mess up my plastic n make more work...what i did was scrape off the plastic renew chemical, then get 1400 grit sand paper, and get out all the scrathes, then i used a power buffer and a special chemical i have for a few hours, n it made my plastic awesome!, but not as shiney as it was when it was new......id say if ur plastic if real bad, just buy some new plastic

Well here is what i did, i didnt want to spend alot of money on new cause i ride in the woods mostly and it would soon be all scrateched again, and paint wouldnt last one ride, so i took all my plastic off, sanded it with 100 grit sand paper, and for a 100 bucks got it sprayed with line-x truck bedliner, i was a little scepticle at first but it came out awsome, and this stuff is virtually unscratchable!! It kind of has a bumpy finish to it, not bad at all, but if your going for a show look, get shiney maier, if you want something that will last through the woods, do what i did. Oh and you can bend and flex the plastic and it just goes with it, its awsome, it looks really cool too, and unique, and it wont fade or scratch. I can stab it with a screwdriver and it does nothing! The only way you can get it off is if you really dig HARD into it with a sharp object, but as far as things you might encounter while riding it will be fine, but be carefull tho because ones you do have a tare in it, you can peel it right off, its like a tough rubber coating sort of, but its hare to put a tare in it.
Now i cant wait to get that new Maier 300ex front they are designing right now and get it sprayed!!
