Which is better?Wider or narrow

+1/2" or +1". You'll be a little more stable, but you'll still be able to fit between trees.

Thats my biggest fear TREEES!!! I hit to many when i was on dirt bikes!stupid things would'nt get out the way!

get a steering stabilizer...it will help alot for when you hit them..hitting trees does suck, jers the bars right out of your hands...OWWWW

plus 1 with 4+1 wheels takes the twitchyness out of the bars and keeps you right at stock width, maybe a shade wider depending on what quad you have

If I go +1"would I need to get different tierods or would the stock 1's adjust out that much (400ex)?

New a-arms should come with new tie rods.

Probably need longer shocks to huh.

With any extended a-arms you'll want new shocks because they will feel very soft. You won't need longer shocks unless you buy a long travel front end.
