My fourwheeler runs fine there is no power loss or anything, but when I stop it dies. It doesn't idle very well either. It sounds like it kind of miss fires or something. The first thing I did was cleaned the air filter and changed the spark plug. Then, I checked the carb, all the hoses, the petcock, and some more crap, but I can't find the problem. Can anyone help?

Try first adjusting your pilot screw, refered to as the pilot jet in your manual. It should be roughly 2-2 1/2 turns out. If it is, adjust your idle speed. Couple side things, check to make sure your air filter is clean and that your plug is in good condition.

Another thing... Hows the weather where you're at? It may be a minor issue but if other things are borderline (jetting, plug etc.) it could make things worse.

I'd replace the spark plug first.

it could be a clogged pilot jet as well, just a lil'crud can keep it from idleing fine, the jets are small to begin with

make sure the intake boots are both on tight and neither has a crack in them. yes, i would take the carb apart again and remove the jets and clean the whole thing out with carb cleaner too. then make sure your idle adjustment is adjusted properly.

Try a good carb cleaning(check all jets for clogs), and clean your air filter.
