how do i get the most power to the rear wheels and make it fast and yet stay really tourqy at the same time i already have a 416 kit so what else can i do ?

besides another bore theres not a whole lot you can do but mess around with the gearing untill you find out what you like, you pretty much have to pick weather you want torq or speed:ermm: i went to a 15t to a 16t today for more speed but i know its not going to pull it up in 3rd anymore but i can live with it

i just looked at your sig and you dont have a cam that would help if you got top end cam like a Hot cam stage 2 or something like it

i didnt put i had one cuz i bought the bike like this unfortunatly cuz i like to do all the work myself did with everything i ever owned and i also know exactly what is done to it so since im rebuilding it ill be able to tell everything about the thing topend wise once i open her up ill let you guys know on sunday after i open her up and ill tell you if i got camand what stage if i do

you should still be able to pull it up in 5th gear with the mods in your sig. heck i did it with a stock 400 and 16t front sprocket

yea it will stand straight up in 6th if im idling in 6th n whack it itll stand straight up and that was with a zps axis rear got rid o that now so once i get everything together ill see how it rides itll be totally different :D but i still am thinking i should get more power outta it maybe i should get a carb too ?:huh

400ex's only have 5 gears.

Get an FCR39mm carb to compliment your 416, it feels like you've added your bore kit all over again. And if you find out you don't have an aftermarket cam, go with a HotCams Stage 2, they compliment the 416 and higher comp piston.

go with a xr 400 camfor your displacement the stock carb is plenty,too many people over carb there engines which sacrifices throttle response and low end torque,this is where mostof us ride %90 of the time.also try different gearing as well

Rather than the hot cams I would put a web cam in it. Much better than the Hot. I have had both and I like the web much better. I have a KFX-453 with alot of mods and it is awsome.

heck even with stock bore high comp piston and cam i can run 5th gear tacked let of snap it and im on a wheelie. i only have a gutted stock exhaust

so you really dont need a 440. the guy who built my motor he told me that with all the stuff i got in my motor 440 would be slightly more powerful but slower. and i was like heck with being slow i love riding wheelies right next to my buddy when hes runnin wide open. but he will swerve at me so i cant pass him.
