need some help on carb prob

all of a sudden after a ride and a good washing my overflow tube on my carb started pouring gas on the reserve setting doesn't do it on the "on" setting but it did die a few times just idling in the on position.

Trash in the petcock?
float stuck?
why not flow in the on position, only in Res.?
anybody ever had this prob?

I just figured out part of it, after the fuel level was below the on position there is only enough fuel to reach the reserve, I guess that is the problem so I guess I will have to take the carb off and see what the float is doing.

Sounds like either your float is sticking or maybe something with the float bowl screw. Make sure that screw is tight.

your needle and seat is sticking or there could be some dirt keeping the needle from sealing on the seat.i bet this is your problem,good luck

Yea, I took the carb off and tuned it upside down and was still able to blow through it, I just allowed the float to open and blew through it a couple more times, it cleared up I think it's ok now.
