i am about to put a 440 big bore kit in my 99 4ooex.while i was lookn thru the new dirtwheels mag i noticed a i saw 3 different kits, ims, wiseco, and je. all of them were different prices. which one is the best for the money?what kinda cam and carb should i use?for those of yall who hav a 440 how reliable are they?is there anything else i should do beside the cam and carb?

I dont have a 440 kit, but I can tell you this much......

Im on a misson to rid the 400EX world of the XR400 cam. My dealer highly recommended this thing when I was rebuilding my machine over the winter. I bought one and installed it. Not happy with top end, I took a chance and purchased a new cam. WOW, what a difference the WB's cam made!

Do your 440 a favor, dont give the XR 400 cam a glance.

As far as picking a kit. Well, I would assume you want the one that has the most compression and comes with all the gaskets and such. Good luck hoss. Let us know how is all comes together for you!!
