What would you do? Have a professional rebuild the stock shock?
Replace it with a aftermarket? I have allready got new Elkas on the front but can the stock rear work like an Elka if it was rebuilt right?

Baldwin did a revalve and resprung mine for about half the price of an aftermarket shock, and it works GREAT. He does a very good job, but you may have to wait a little while for it.

You know Pro Action does a really good job at rebuilding/revalving a stocker.

Yes you can have them rebuilt but I dont think they perform nearly as well as aftermarket. With these new 450's you can buy used 250r suspension on ebay and here for dirt cheap.

Baldwin is a PEP dealer and I was in the market for an aftermarket shock, he suggested the rebuild over an aftermarket shock. He said the stock Showa is an excellent design, and since I was using it for XC, the revalved, resprung stock unit was a better choice. This may be different for motocross.

Another ? is can the rear stock shock be re-spung to a dual rate?
I just can see spending alot of cash on a 19year old shock unless it would work like a dual rate Elka.... BTW Seminole tribe MX was Awsome. You can see some pictures an another form if you want. Im 1fast250r over there.
