CAN ANYBODY TELL ME WHAT JET SIZES TO SATRT AT WHILE JETTING MY QUAD. I HAVE THE FOLLOWING PARTS ON MY ENGINE AND I HAVE A k+n JET KIT

????? ALSO I AM PUZZLED OVER HOW TO CHANGE THE SLOW JET WITH THE K+N JET KIT I ???????


I HAVE :

WISECO HIGH COMPRESSION PISTON (STOCK BORE)
WHITE BROTHERS HIGH LIFT HIGH DURATION CAM (.336")
400EX CARB
K+N AIR FILTER
AIR BOX VENTS
FULL LRD RACE EXHAUST
TITANIUM VALVE SPRINGS

WHAT SHOULD I TRY FOR JETS?

P.S I THINK THAT K+N HAS DIFFERENT SIZING????????????

I don't know what Jets you should use, but the kit doesn't come with slow jets.

You are looking at bout a 155-170 main. Atomic83 is right the kits dont include slow jets. You have to buy them seperately. I would start with the 160 and YES, the dynojet kit has a different taper than the factory needle/main has. A 142 factory main is different than a Dynojet 142 main. Hope this helps.:blah

42 pilot and like BBH said a 160 main. Raise the needle one notch from stock 400 location (the middle one).This means to lower the clip one notch to the pointed end. this is for the kehin numbers.

If this helps you. My carb mods include the following....

Stock size and stock setting on the pilot. One notch down the needle. With the disk on, i use a 163 main. With the disk removed, I must use a 170 main.

ok guys right now im working on my needle position. should i move the needle up or down from stock position. ????????

Move it down. That will give you more gas.
