I need some advise on suspension.

I am currently running stock suspension and want to switch to a better aftermarket setup. I ride trails, dunes, and tracks...but I don't race nor do I plan too.

1. What do you recommend as a good shock package?
2. Stock or LT suspension?
3. Stock, +1, or +2 a-arms?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated

some plus 2's would work nice with the type of riding you do

I'm no expert on this but i've read alot....

1. How much are you willing to spend? A set of Works run about $400-$500 I think. An upper end ($$) front end with a-arms, you're looking at $1000-$2000 or more. If you're just looking for an 'upgrade' the Works will probable be good enough. If you want to go better look into PEP, Elka or TCS. AXIS seems to be the top end but everyone has their own opinion on what is the best shock.

2. I doubt you'll need a LT set up.

3. If the trails are tight stay stock or go +1 with 4:1 off set front rims.

I agree with Joe, if you are just looking for a nice upgrade go for Works Triple Rates w/Rezzies, I'm running that right now and it's a lot better than stock...even though it's valved completely off (almost 100lbs too stiff:o ).

And if you plan on riding any trails I wouldn't go any wider than +1...and running the offset rims will help with that.

I'd say go with the Works Triple Rates or the Elka Recreational shocks.

Works tipple rate w/rezzy, +2 a-arms depending on how tight the trails are that you ride.

The trails are not tight at all.

Thanks for all the feedback, I appriciate it!

Looks like I'll go with +2's and Works Triple Rates w/rezzy

Thats a very good setup for what your doing. You can find a lot of companies around here that offer a +2 setup at a reasonable price.
