just looking for some advice/tips on putting in a 13:1. ive done plenty of 2 stroke pistons and i was wondering whats involved with a 4 stroke piston. can i hone it myself with one of those kits they sell at the auto parts store? how much do i gap the rings? anything i should look for? any1 run into any problems? show some pistures of this if you have them avaiable.

The cylinder is Nikasil'd, so you can't really hone it without diamond stones. You can use #220 silicon carbide to break the glaze. Make sure to thoroughly clean the cylinder of and residual grit. The piston should have instructions for ring gap, but a rule of thumb is about .004" per inch of cylinder bore if you can't find the correct specs anywhere else.

No need to re-hone, but inspect the cylinder for abnormal wear from the old piston. You should still be able to see the cross hatching.

ok thanks, and the rings that will come with the piston should be gapped already. just double check to make sure?

Definitely check the gap.
