Can someone explain to me how tire size works on atv tires. I do alot of trail riding but would like to get some new tires and rims. I have no clue what to look for??

most people ride 20"-22" tall tires for trail riding. the most common is 20". Most people in my opinion run 4 ply tires unless they are seriously blasting through the trails and then they buy 6 ply. it all depends on how you ride.

typically, people that ride agressive trails would probablly choose a 6ply 22'' tire because 6ply is tougher and 22'' tires give you more clearance for ruts and rocks.
lets say the tire size is 20 x 7 x 10. 22 is the tire height. 7 is the rim height. and 10 is the width of the tire. hope i helped.

Order a RockyMountainATV catalog and look through there at all the different treads. That catalog is good to have because you can visually see the differences and their prices are pretty good as well.

Be careful, you loose stability when you go with 22", and it messes with your gearing
