what is the stock 400ex chain size
i have been looking and i know its a 520 but when i go to buy one it says 520x???
i dont know what the second number is please help i am ordering the stuff tonight

the chain length is 94 links.

yep, stock is 94 links. i actually bought a 102 link chain and cut it down. i run a DID X-Ring chain.

is that chain any good. i just bought the x-ring chain and regeared my bike to 14/39

i contacted two engine builders when i was looking for a new chain. i asked what is the chain they recommend. they both said DID X-ring. i figured i didn't need to look any farther.
