I was wandering if anyone knew if they normally have to run qualifiers for the 265cand 4 stroke c class? If so how does the procedure run and on what days? How many quads get to go into the mains?

thank you

Qualifiers are for any and all classes, where there is more entries than can fit on one gate. at Glen helen that number was 20, and production c had 31 entries. so they had 2 qualifing heats. the top 8 from each race went to the sunday moto. everybody else ran an last chance qualifier and the top 4 filled up sundays gate. everybody else ran in a "consy" race on sunday, wich was everybody from all classes (on big quads) who did not qualify.

jrspawn,
Since you're asking about maybe you would know, what the deal is with the 265 class. I though it was a 2strk class but under the rules it states 4strk's 450CC and less can run those classes. What's the point of the 265 classes?

From what i understand its a class where a lot of hybrids compete in, supposed to be good competion. When do they run the qualifiers? Friday or sturday before the race? It would have to be pretty early if it was saturday wouldnt it?

thank you

the "qualifiers" (for am. classes) are actuall your first moto. if you look at the results from glen helen in prod c, there are 2 people that finished 1st in their first moto, on sat. , which is run with all the other sat. motos. same is true for 2-8th also.

Ok, cool, so as long as your up in the top 8 on saturday you'll be racing the sameclass sunday, if not you'll be doing a consi race on sunday. Whens the LCQ?

Last year at Budds I ran 265c and 4 stroke c. In 4 stroke c we had like 61 entries. 265c was only like 40. Friday is practice all day. Sat. mourning you get a practice and after practice is the start of qualifing. In 4 stroke C we had 4 moto's with the top 4 advancing, and 2 lcq's with top 2 advancing. 265 was much easier less entries so better chance to qualify.LCQ's are directly after all qualifiers. Also at budds and I think everywhere there are only 20 gates for quads.

The deal with 265 is that any 2 stroke 265cc or less or any 4stroke 450cc or less, this is a class for the 2 strokes but it allows 4 strokes probally to fill the class. This is a great second class to run if running a 450.
