I live in Eastern KY, I have all of the mods described in my sig. My valves need to be adjusted a little so while I have it open Im going to go ahead and get it ported. Who is the best person to get it done by, an what are some prices???

I wouldn't have him do it. I would have a reputable company do the porting and polish, it is very easy to srew up and chunk these heads. Definately a lot different than doin a 2-stroke head. I would look into JH Racing at www.j-hracing.com , Baldwin Motosports, Duncan, Sparks. All these companies test the heads on flow benches so they should all be alright. Hope this helps.

you may want to contact T&T Motorsports in Bardstown, KY. im not sure if they are doing porting, but i would be suprized if they are not.

i've seen Boone's work. very clean. i'd be interested in his work on my 530 after i tweek things out a bit on the dyno. i'm not sure if he does oversized valves yet but he has done good thus far.

I think Lukerster has his work installed on his machine. maybe Lukester720 could help with a report.

Yes, Boone did my headwork and it looks great, I didn't get larger valves but he can do that too. ;) I haven't got the quad back together yet to test it, I'm waiting on a 480cc, 14:1 piston! :macho Once I get some more performance info I will let you all know! :)

BTW he has some of the best prices I have seen anywhere! He posts here to as BOONE450r too I think.

I copy and pasted this post:

I will offering port and polish work to Members of this site.
The price is $250.00 + shipping and handling.
This is for basic head clean up (casting marks, unshrouding the valves, and cleaning up the guide boss area).

I will also be offering Stainless Steel valves (stock sizes) for $180.00 this will include lapping the valves in for a 100% positive seal.

In the not so distant future i will be offering reduce intake port epoxying, valve seat enlargement and larger valves for an additional fee.

I will do my very best to have a 1-2 day turn around time!
( This is just a hobby and not my full time job )

PM me if you have more questions

Thanks

Daniel (Boone)
