This for my knowledge I ran Elka's last year and liked em. But i got my hands on a set of custom axis this year and i don't know weather to sell them and replace them with elka's or not.

either, i doubt there is enuff of a difference to sell one for the other

Thats what I was Thinking. Also I'd get a quadruple rate with the elka and a triple with the axis. Huh

even if one is tripple and one is quad rate i doubt there is much of a difference. its hard to compare a tripple rate of one brand to a quad rate of another.

My delema is that is I can't order the elka's till i get the money from the axis ones i have now..

Axis is better, hands down. Elka uses the same oil in the shocks, and puts different springs on. Where i race, just about half of the guys i race with run Elka and hated them, they had to send them back either because they were too soft or too hard. Axis sets up the shock for how you weigh. Ive tried both. I like Axis. Im gonna get another set, and was going to go with the new Fox shox, and see if they are any better than axis.

I would definately get elkas. yea they are more expensive but have more and better adjustments to fine tune your ridign preference

Axis. The only thing about them is that I don't think axis has ZPS or SSD.

I have always liked my Elka's, and they are a great company. You dont have to wait months to get your shocks or get parts like you do with axis.

my choice is axis i love mine the best shocks i have ever owned i dont think ill have any other brand ever

I think it is pretty much a toss up. If you got the Elka Elites then I think they would be better, but should be since they cost more. I think you will be happy with either. The new Elka's that will be coming out with the TRACK system will be quite amazing after talking with Elka at the Indy Show.

Id have to say Elka, i was debating the same thing when i was buying my shocks.It was between elka triple rates or Axis triple rates and i ended up goign with the Elka piggy triple rates.I havnt rode it yet but i had elka triple rates remote ressies on my 400ex and i really liked them.
