Would a procomm hurt my bike if I only put a cam and pipe and dont change piston.. also do they make it harder to start??

stay away from the procomm...mine started up the same with stock pipe and cam but it was a POS and kept your red tempature light going on and off for 15 seconds every 20 seconds.
