I dont know how many of you have actually been there but the place is huge to begin with. now they want to make it even bigger with a hotel, indoor golf coarse, and even a casino along with room for alot of new stores and such. the plan is to make it so that ppl can stay there on vacations for a week and never have to leave. there is talk about apartments, college, and a grocery stor all connected to the mall so the eventually ppl could essentialy live, work, go to school and everything with out ever having to leave.

Ive been there to many times now and the only place i ever really find myself when i go there is in hooters.

I think its kind of sad, and sick in anotherway. Who ever likes the idea of this giant mall/indoor city must have no life or something.

Sorry i just think its such a dumb idea, maybe the fat lazy americans will love it, but its makes me sick to see how the usa is evolving.

americans have no life well at least 80% of them, sex , drugs and work, then they hit 30 and get married have kids and die, a large indoor town, great idea, lets breath ****ty air, never see daylight or expirence nature americans will love it, i personally cannot stand to be in a mall for more than 30 minutes, i get irritated, it feels dirty, im paranoid about getting sick i hate it

yep thats the problem alot of americans like it. i used to work at an amusement park and they would bring in a few thousand european workers for the summer months. they were mostly polish, and bulgarian but they were the coolest people ive met and some of the best friends. but they would always complain about how most americans are so fat and dont care. and they have no morals. we worked in a restaraunt so we had to deal with angry people and they witnessed it first hand. sad really....

Don't worry bud .... us Canadians aren't far behind . Look out in Edmonton ... West Edmonton mall .... theres a damn submarine in it ... a fairis (?) wheel ... a complete amusement park . We also have a very high rate of FAT people . One of the highest in the world .

Thats why I hate the fat lazy side of America. I wish the South won, then I'd have a REAL country to call my home.

Correction West Edmonton Mall is the biggest mall in the world, ( Amusement park, water park, hotel, sea lions, giant aquarium, to many stores to count, and the list goes on) but I still haven't been in there for probably 5 years now! :D

I think the expansion is to keep up with the carusel(SP) mall in syracuse NY. They are planning a majior renovation that will make it bigger than the mall of america.

I think one of these malls should put a motocross track in there. Now that would be a good idea. :macho :blah:

going there for fun and entertainment is one thing, but living there and going to school and working there.. now that is to much.

i like the casino idea best. every other casino is over an hours drive from me so 40 minutes wouldent be bad.

MOA also has its own indoor amusement park and underwhater aquarium where u go through a tunnel under the water but i havent been in that since i was a little guy. they used to have a minutre (sp) putt-putt golf course but i dunno what happend to that.

and whoever said they are going to have their own army, they already have thier own police dept.:scary:

ROFLMAO .... I seen that comming cuz of that comment . Don't worry bud .... I think all of North America is becoming to damn commercialized , overweight . Everything has to be BIG . If it ain't bigger or better than the guy next door , we tear it down and rebuild it , add more lights and say " Wow .... we really did it this time"

What I'm really amazed about is that the environmentalists who spend so much of their time shutting down places for us to ride don't ever seem to care about new development stuff. How much forest/fields/habitat are these malls taking up? But that's okay I guess because they are not leaving any place for the wildlife to go back to. When we build tracks and trails there is still forest, etc. there. Maybe that's the problem? Maybe if we built a track and then put a GAP store in the middle they would let us keep it.:grr:

Yup ... thats the problem . To them a field in a city doesn't have habitat for animals  but I guess they don't realize that birds and other small animals make their homes in these settings . Let's turn 100 acres into a shopping center ... but complain when someone chops down a few trees to make a trail .

Out in Alberta at Blackfoot Motorsports which is right downtown in the city , they have an MX track . But if I was to try and build one on my own property , it would be shut down cuz of noise and dust . Blackfoots claim when theirs tried to get shut down , was that the MX bikes don't make any more noise than the hundreds of transports that pass on the nearby roads everyday . Blackfoot won and was able to keep their track . I can't remember where I read this story but it was nice to see .

Sounds like the Grizwall Family Christmas:D

The new mall would be a prime place for a terrorist to hit. Mall, casino, college, apartment complex, etc.

Why can't we just live the simple life and live off the fat of the land?...wasn't that a name of a Prodigy album:D

Ok, I'm just rambling here...later!
