Is their a way to adjust the brakes. I got to push way down to get my rear brakes to grab. This makes it hard for wheelies to bring it back down and also going down hills and stuff.

Do i have to bleed them.

Also will it mess up my frame pretty bad if i scrape the grab bar.

the rear can be adjusted, their is a jam nut and threads that are at the clevis where the brakepedal attaches to the mastercylinder, turn it out to shorten the throw, or you may need to bleed the brakes or change the pads.

Hello,

I just bought a 1999 440 ex and the back pad are toast. I have never messed with them before. Does anyone have any pics of what to take off to change the pads. I have changed pads in other vehicles but never a quad. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Rescue,
I've the same problem on my 02. I haven't replaced mine yet, waiting for the right time, but if you have a service manual, it'll tell you what you gotta do. I have the Clymer manual, and its not too bad..
I'd suggest checkin it out..

Hi. Can you tell me which 4 bolts. I figured it had to be easy but didn't want to take something apart that wasn't needed to change the pads. How much do pads usually cost?

Thanks again,
