No, more like it was broke off. It had one screw and a little piece of the spout on it when I bought the bike. I ordered a new end cap for it, because the spark arrestor is missing also. Should be here early next week. Since all that is missing, it is louder than hell and doesn't sound good either. I have been told the new end cap with spark arrestor in it will help that. I hope, or its time for a White Bros.:devil:

ya, it will sound alot better with a cap. but if for some reason it dont then its not time for a white bros.... its time for an HMF:macho

I have heard many rave about the HMF. What makes it so much better?

Better quality I have seen both and the welds on HMF are much better and better put together, better looks IMO i really dont like how WB e-series looks, better power i don't have my HMF yet but i have ridden an EX with an HMF and a WB and its not a huge difference but i can tell there is a difference between the two and HMF comes out on top, better sound I love the sound of the HMF, more options you can pick from a bunch of different colors, optional quiet core.

it has great quality, they are very well made. they are one of the cheapest pipes available. and the sound is amazing. i had an e-seies on my last 400 and it sounded like junk compared to the HMF

Look at the "Best pipe for a 400ex" thread and you will get your answer. Me and muddy400ex seem to have the same view on most things when it comes to quads and parts. HMF is a great company with great people and the quality is great.

It was awhile ago that it was nice and i wasn't busy but I did clean her up and polish the rims and such.
