My wife has been complaining lately that her seat on her 400EX is too hard. She wants the comfort feeling like from my Banshee. She was wondering if I could do anything to make it softer for her bum....

check out quad tech seat covers if you send them your seat they can add a layer of soft foam. or you can probably do that yourself and put the stock cover back on

Does she have a stock seat right now? If she does does she want it softer or just more foam added? i dont think you will get much softer but adding foam would be easy.

She wants it softer with more cushion for her butt. She said that it is too hard and uncomfortable. Where can I get some extra foam that I can still use my seat cover?

a fabric store may have some or also try and auto apolstery place that redoes seats i bet they would have some

take off the seat cover and drill a bunch of holes in the seat. The holes allow air pockets to compress when you sit on the foam and making the foam less dense. I did mine a long time ago (over 2 years ago) I probably have over 100 holes on it and i still have it with no problems. That foam is so condensed and thick nothing will get hurt by drilling holes even after a lot of ride time. If you don't want to do that get a hiflite desert seat. Those are double the thickness as stock, but with softer foam.

Get her a desert seat from hi-flite. Just got one. its like a couch. Have her request a soft one and she will thank you profusely. they sell cover and foam. If you don't want to take apart your original seat buy one off ebay. Take off cover and foam and replace with new cover and foam. Let me know how you make out...

i agree with him, i have had mine for over a year now and it is amazing. everyone talks soo much **** about how big it is but its a couch on the trails. its just hard to do freestlye with it on.

Have her go and ride a YFZ and she will LOVE the 400ex seat ! :blah: :D :p

yep^^^^^,ride a yfz and a wood block seat would feel better:D
