I have an fmf slip on if that what you mean. I have no problems with it. But for me it was a sound issue. I didn't want anything to loud. But if you don't care how loud your pipe is, then I would go with something else. But If you dont want to pi$$ off your neighbors and still have performance. Then FMF is the way to go. Just my 2 cents.

SUPERFLY 400, he means HMF, not fmf. I've heard good things about them, but they are kinda loud.

hey guys i have a dyno run for a HMF pipe... here it is...

The tests performed on 04-25-02 were done using an engine built by JB racing. This used a Wiseco 440 piston , a TC cam, 41mm FCR carb, and CAM II for the fuel. Present and helping with the tests were Jody Bateman from JB Racing, Rich Hetrick from Hetrick Racing, and Lazarus Sommers. There was almost 6 hours of testing done with various combinations.
HMF pipe vs. a Stock pipe:
This pipe does not use a reverse megephone and is very long giving it a very long tuned length. This results in tons of torque but it signs of earlier than stock.

I run the hmf slip-on and love it. I went to their shop and checked it out and talked to the owner who also has a 400ex. The pipe is awesome and gives alot of low and mid end which i was looking for. It is on the loud side though. The thing i liked the best is that you can get them in almost any color. The only problem that you might have is when i was there a little while ago the had a waiting list but i was able to pick one up that was sitting around real cheap. Go for it you'll really like the pipe if you don't care about sound.
