get adaware, spybot search and destroy and if you know what you are doing "Hijack this" is a good program, run them, delete everything that comes up, then go to start ----> run ----> msconfig ---> startup tab ---> uncheck anything you dont need.....stuff you do need has ot do with microsoft, your virus protector, and other things, you might even be able to search the web for some of the things and it will tell you what they are :ermm: hope that helped a lil

That didn't work either. I find it kind of ironic that it has a link in the corner to eliminate spyware:rolleyes:

The internet is dirtier than an Asian whore house, that's exactly why I don't use chat programs or go to any sites where you illegally download movies or music. You're just asking to get something. Anyways, you've got the about:blank virus and it's a real PITA.

best help i can give without working on it my self. The biggest downside of About:blank hijack is that they use ramdom files to execute, look at this link (http://www.pchell.com/support/aboutblank.shtml) if you follow carfully it should solve your problem
any questions just ask

The spyware program has loaded a registry key that Ad-aware and Spybot are not able to remove. In short form, there is an .exe (or similar) file that is loaded to the machine that your spyware removal tool is not detecting. The spyware removal program can and does remove the files which have been installed by the .exe (or similar) file but once the pc is restarted, it is the same cycle until the registry key has been removed and the .exe (or similar) file is killed.
Also, have you ran a virus scan? If so, with what program? Have you made sure it's updated? If you don't have an anitivirus program or no longer have a current subscription (NAV, McAfee, etc) run these free online virus scanners:

housecall.antivirus.com
I would also recommend installing Avast 4 Home Edition.
Hope this helps.

Use Mozilla FireFox and you won't have a 1/10th of the problems that you have with Explorer
