I got a bunch of scratched up cds im trying to fix, it appears the cd doctor doesnt work all that well though.... any ideas??

Have you tried playing the cd's you used the "doctor" on. From what I've heard it makes the disc look like you've taken steel wool to it but they play.

Otherwise there's a wax like compound you can get from Radio Shack that worked for me. I forget the name.

yes, they dont work, well maybe 1/10, but 9/10 work worse!

They work, but only to a certian point. Also if ur CD get scratched on the other side of the CD where the reflection of the laser can go threw the entire cd it will not work.

If ur CD's dirty, clean it with alky, when it dries it doesnt leave residue. Just my 2 cents :)

try using Turtle Wax....no kidding.....let it sit on there until it is ALMOST dry,then wipe it off with a very soft cloth,i like using the inside of a old sock.dont scrub,just wipe in a circle around the cd.

CD doctor always worked for me. I've fixed plenty of scratched disks. Though most of them weren't TOO scratched, just skipping on a few tracks.

Peanut Butter

put some on a towel then wipe it on the cd, saw it on tv, works great.
