haha, im just messing around. altought i couldnt do much better if i tried seriouslty... haha. if u were to ask me dont do anything to the jeep. Some people try too hard when they lift things like the cherokees. there isnt a use and they arent very cool either....:)

:huh

what do you drive that is so cool, mr. badass?

and get it right, it is a Grand Cherokee

before i wrecked it, i had a 98 Grand Cherokee 5.9L limited edition. It had a 3" skyjacker suspension lift and a 1 inch body lift- and i ran 32" BFG MTs. I had an arb air locker in the rear, and the damn thing was near unstopable. And what do you mean there isnt a use? The GC is one if not the only mid sized SUV with a solid front axle...

Im sorry, i did not mean to offend you. Round hear a few of the localidiots put more money in their cherokees than it is worth, and dont do any real offroading. Im not a fan of them to each their own. and when i mean their not cool its when they are lifted etc.

You can drive a pos for all i care, dont matter, to me its just people who put 22 inch rims on their kia sophia's....

hey thanks...any way to make it look more realistic? dont matter what tires or rims big ones though lol

and why would you bad mouth a GC when its the first of its kind, and will tear anything up in the trails. solid front axle (dana high pinion 35) and dana 35 in the rear. with 5" and some 33s my jeep would tear *** offroad...it already goes like hell but the only bad thing i have to say is that its long wheelbase - thats why i need a lift.

yeah i know they dont wear for crap on the road...but they look mean as hell and they go like hell in the mud...realisticly, ill probably get some goodyear mt/r's theyre awesome all around tires...

after the lift and tires, ill def. be looking into some ARB airlockers. i drove this TJ, (see next post) it dont look like much but its got 33" MT/Rs and arb air lockers front and rear and like 4.11 gears and it GOES!

actually, they're horrible in the mud. they dont clear worth a darn. you'd be alot better off spending a little extra on some MT/Rs.:)

yeah...youve lifted a ZJ i got some questions

1. if i put in lift coils, and lift it between 3-5", and new shocks, can i retain the rest of the stock suspension componets?

2. i know i may need a SYE kit, if i have driveline vibrations becase the np231 or whatever transfer cases are notrious for this. did you ever have any problems?

3. what will my most common problems be with lifting the ZJ?

thanks alot..if you have any info i may want to know, tell me! thanks again

1. i believe so. i had the kit put on professionally. if you want some more lift, you could add coil spacers- they're inexpensive and the equivalent of reversing the shackles on a leaf spring suspension. However, you may need to get extended sway bars (if you want to keep them) and a longer pitman arm- but your stock one should fit (i just remember when we lifted my friend's F-250 16inches we had to replace the pitman arm and wound up doing the skyjacker z-link system, but your lift is small so you shouldnt have a problem.)

2. I dont know. I didn't have the same drivetrain as you because of the 360 under the hood. i think my case was a np360 or np 318 or something like that.

3. my biggest problem was keeping the front end aligned. Other than that, i was very pleased.

thanks man, ive got the 5.2 318 i wish i had the 360 but the 318 gets r done...ya know...ill probably ditch the sway bar untill i can buy a R.E. or somethin... bascily im trying to do a 4-6" lift with a low budget. i think itll work...im goin for somethin along the lines of this....its like 5.5" with 35s, i only want 33s though anything bigger than a 33 tears sh*t up IMO

You can't lift a Grand Cherokee with Superduty Lift springs. The pre-1999 ZJ has coils up front and leafs in the back. Not a good idea, buy a 3" Superlift for your Jeep $300 w/shocks. It uses a long add-a-leaf in the rear and new coils up front.

they suck, on the road and in the mud! Id rather have TSLs

ive heard a lot about thornbirds being bad tires but only heard it from people with heavy trucks. ive had thornbirds on my truck for just over a year now and i think they are great. they are deffinatly the best in snow i can do 75 down the highway when everyone is doing 25-30. but yeah on the road they are louder then most semis and the tires last about a year

roll a set of pro-comp`s you bichez. get real.
if we are talking about someone that lives with their parents and your mom and dad buying the tires once a year for you then yeah its ok, but i need to get more life than that out of some rubber. no offense. tires are too expensive to buy a set of less quality.
