Pretty much exactly what the topic is, I have tightened them down as much as possible but still no difference. Is there a gasket that supposed to be inbetween the header and ports? Or do you just seal it up with that exhaust sealent tape?

there are copper cruch gaskets in there, they need to be replaced when you put a different header on

dont know why your doesnt leak, maybe the flange on the factory header and yournew one are similiar enough, I know my sparks leaked bad enough it would backfire

the gaskets are universal for any header on the 400ex head, it sits in a groove on the head

Yeah they fit fine i run a white bro's header for my R4 and they fit fine. The gaskets retail around 2.22 a piece and my place had them for 2.75 so its its only $5.50 for something that can fix a possible lean condition.

you really should replace them even just taking off and putting back the stock header
