Just wondering whos tried 450r shocks on the 250r?

I heard they sit pretty tall and the rezzies interfere w/ the shrouds, but hear ppl using them.

So...whats the deal? Worth it ...or no?

I have them on my 250r at the time but I havent rode it. I am rebuilding some stuff and havent put it all back together. Yes it makes it sit higher in the front, and they feel stiff when pushing down on them. As for the rezzies they gave me no problem but I have prm air scoops on mine so that might be why. I think if it was done correctly and the shocks were revalved and set at the correct lenght they would be great. I dont know I should have it all back together by the end of the week, I'll let you know how it is.

Had them on my r with +2 arms while I was waiting for my peps

They are better than any stockers

but if you have the money send them in to be valved for the bike and what you are doing it's about $250 and you will have a sweet set up!

Thanks for the info guys!

Do you know if they can be set up like a ZPS or SSC so to speak?

I have 450R shocks on the front of my 250R. Hopefully I will get to try them out next weekend after I return from Tokyo.

I think C&D makes them ssd, you might want to call them and ask. I dont know how much 450r shocks are selling for now. But most I've seen forsale are around 250+, then you would have another 250+ setting them up. For that you would be able to find a nice set of Elkas or other aftermarket shocks.

yeah, I started thinking about that:p :o just trying to think of a cheaper alternative for when the time comes to finally bury my stocker POS's:rolleyes: The rear isnt that bad ...but the fronts are a joke:ermm:

I got my 450r shocks off of Ebay for $200 plus shipping. Yes, these shocks sit kind of tall but I can use the extra clearance where I ride. I attached a pic of my R with ASR +2+1 arms sitting beside a '05 Blaster with the same Arms and Axis shocks.
