My battery is going shot and it's no trouble to buy a new one. I wonder if it's ok to hook it up to a car battery to charge it. Thanks.

i put mine on a car charger just put in on a trickle charge for about 3 hours and see if its any better just make sure you take the battery off the bike before you do it so you dont risk any damage to the other electrical components. it might help but mine only stayed charged a few more weeks before it was dead agian in my case it was probably because of the extremely cold winter i dont know how cold it gets down your way but if it gets really cold you might want to wait till spring
