Hillsville

Keep hearing people talking about Hillsville. Everyone i talk to says its closed. I usually ride wellsville which is "closed" everyother day but that doesnt matter obviously. Is this the same deal, just go and ride and not worry. Or is it really shut down.

well ive been wondering the same thing, and i did some snooping around on the net a few weeks ago and it seems as if its closed, but you can ride back there under these stipulations - you park somewhere off the PA state property (hillsville is owned by the state now) and ride to the trails, and dont get caught by a ranger. im guessing you could park at the fireworks store but thats private property so you could get stroked. hillsville sounds great but not worth the risk of getting stroked when you can go down route 7 for about a half hour and just goto wellsville. its open 24/7 and its free, too. dont let anyone tell you wellsville is closed. there are hundreds of people who own campers in yellow creek campground and old route 7 will always be open for these people to access their campers. with that being said, there is always a way to get into the trails, weather you go up the hill by the tressel and cross the tracks there or you go inbetween the small campgrounds and over the tracks there to the staging area. hope this helped. get ahold of me when your going to wellsville, we'll meet up and rip it up and do some partyin if your down!

Yea i know wellsville will never close, Just seems every holiday weekend when someone gets f'ed up theres all this talk about it. We plan on making quite a few trip there his year since its the closest place. Ill let ya know. Maybe you can watch me flip my new quad down a hill.... -2 swing arm and Wellsville....we shall see.

Too bad hillsville is no longer.

haha hey now just hug the tank and youll be sweet. i remember 4th of july weekend a couple were riding on a 4x4 and rolled down a hill called life flight in and the whole 9 yards...damn them people. i left the windows down n my jeep and when the helicopter landed 100 yards away it was like desert storm dude...wiiicked. i also rolled down a hill that night - outlook some drunkerd's thought itd be sweet to walk around on the hill so i had to stop so i didnt hit them fawkers
