I have a 99 Dodge Ram That is Lifted. I need some parts for the front end such as camber ajustments(ajustable Ball Joints and such.) I have looked on summit racing.com and cant find anything or i have did a google search for about everything and cant find anything. I know this has nothing to do with quads but i didnt know where else to ask people. Thanks for all your support on the troubles I have had on my 426EX. Thanks

Adjustable balljoints?

You might hit up some of these companies to try and find what you're looking for: Tough Country, Ruff Country, Skyjacker or Fabtech. I've never heard of an adjustable balljoint but I'll be the first to admit I don't know everything.

Wait.... how was this truck lifted? If the truck was lifted using a good kit then your suspension geometry shouldn't be that far off. Simply take it to an alignment shop. I believe Rams already have 3 way adjustable suspension (caster, camber and toe). If you are outside of the maximum tolerances from the factory then you have something seriously wrong that has nothing to do with the lift.

Your probably looking for a longer or adjustable drag link. is your steering wheel not centered and turning short to one side (I think left)? You just need to correct that. How much suspesion lift do you have?

I bought the truck already lifted. It has a sky jacker lift kit. My tires are boed in and sit like this /\ I either need off set ball joints or ajustable ball joints because my truck does not have an camber ajustments. I have taking it to more than enough places to get it aligned and the cant align the toe in because I dont have any camber ajustments. Thats why i need ball joints that I can ajust the toe.

I think it is a 6 inch lift I dont know honestly because I bought the truck already lifted. it is a skyjacker suspension lift.

yes it is short to the left. it is also harder to turn to the left then it is to the right. and it pulls very very VERY bad to the right as soon as i let off the wheel.

Jack up the front axle and see if there is alot of play up and down on the wheels. But yep you probably need new ball joints OEM or aftermarket are fine. I have never heard of adjustable ones.

an alignment shop told me the oly way i am going to get a correct alignment is if I put offset balljoints or ajustable ball joints so they can ajust the camber and that should fix my problem atleast most of it. I know i need a new power steering pump because its leaking and i also i think might need a new gear box.

To correct the steering issue you can possibly adjust the drag link. If its maxed out you can get a aftermarket longer one or a drop pitman arm. The drag link is the part with the sleeve connecting 2 joints together. You can just widen the gap between the 2. If not you have to buy a longer one or the arm that comes down from the steering box needs to be replaced with a lower one.

i have a dropped pitman arm that im guessing came with the kit when the guy bought it.

how do i see what height of a lift i have. then i can see what pitment arm i have because if i hve a 3 in lift i should have a 5 in drop piment if i have a 5 or 6 in lift i should have an 8in drop

If the arm is not put on it should be. If you are still having a problem the rest can just be adjusted through the drag link. you can park the truck with the wheels as straight as possible. Take off one of the ends of the drag link from the pitman arm. You will need a pickle fork to pop it okff the arm. then loosen the 2 bolts that hold the sleeve tight and you can just back the end out. turn the steering wheel till its straight and tighten the sleeve and put the end back in the arm.

If you have a 3" lift you shouldnt need anything just an adjustment. If its a 5" or 6" lift you will need an arm or drag link. there isnt much difference between the 2 and that can be compensated for.

its to high to be a 3in lift i would say its is definity a 5 or 6in lift. it came in a kit so i should already have the correct pitment arm. How do i see how much of a lift i have..

If it has blocks in the back you can measure the hieght of the blocks considering it doesnt have any add a leaves or new springs all around. Post pics.

Probably it looks like the back sits a little higher. I would just check to see if the ball joints knock or move. and just mess with the drag link for the steering issue. Just make sure you leave enough of the ends in either end of the sleeve and make it tight. You dont want one to pop out :D

I never did it but it will make it harder to start in the cold.

i just replaced the left side not to long ago and not the right and the right is going bad now which i think is why maybe its pulling to the right and harder to turn to the left. im going to get all new joints left and right new power steering pump and box and see if that does any good.

Here's a little piece of advice for ya: Until you fix the problem you are going to keep replacing balljoints and suspension pieces. BTW unless you get your suspension fix I'll give your tires about 3,000 miles until they are completely shot as well.

You need a lengthened drag link period.
