any acid reflux people in here?

i was just curious to see if any one on this site has acid reflux disease. i got it about 4 months ago, my doc. diagnosed me with it. sucks having it if i forget to take my pills.

yea i had that stuff real bad. had to follow a very strict diet for like 5 months and take 2 dif kinds of pills. but now everything is good and no more pills. the doc said it was/has been burning a hole in my esophogus and if i didnt follow the diet and take my meds i wouldnt live past 40.

I get it bad once in a while .... a lady I work with gave me some meds her doctor gave her for it .... awesome little pills called Pariet . Works miracles in a matter of 10 minutes .

i gota take a pill twice a day, a little white thing but it works really fast and helps for like 12 hours.

I've got it. I take medicine but still have to watch what I eat. And if I forget to take the medicine it tears me up.

What is it? A kind of a burning feeling in your throut?

its not so much in your throat, more in your upper chest, atleast for me. and its a really bad burning feeling in your chest and you cant really do anything about it, unless you have medicine. some times i get a wierd taste in my mouth too when it starts up.

yeah i have it but i usually don't experiance it unless i am laying down or at night sometimes i get it.

I get it sometimes when i have chili or beef stew but thats about it.

ive had it for years and i take prevacid but i have been experimenting with vinegar pills think they are helping meand they are cheap. the damn prevacid is about 3 bucks a pill.

I have it once ya get it under control its not so bad and after awhile takin your pill will become second nature

My ex-gf used to have it pretty bad. Before she was diagnosed with it, we had eaten at Olive Garden. After we had finished eating she started having terrible reflux and caughing terriblely. On the way home, she started caughing even more and had problems breathing. So I took her the ER. Some of the reflux had made it's way up her esphogus and into her trachea...burned the hell out of her windpipe. Pretty scary stuff. Anyway, that's my story:D
