Its near Keithsburg Ill. They run the quads first then the Bikes after that.

Just hope to have my quad back togeather by then, right now it is in parts all over the floor of my shop!

they mailed me a letter about it but i posted all the info thats on the letter~ call the phone number i posted for more info~ it was my 10th race i ever ran last year and there was around 30 quads in B class~ i finished 9th and had a blast!! the track is sand and whooped out ~ lots of fun! most likely wont be mud cause its mostly sand there~ my district has a race there 2 weeks after the d-22 race on the 27th~ so im hoping to get some good practice on the track that day before i race the boys in illinois! plus it will get me in shape for the iowa series thats fast approaching~ i miss all you iowa folks but ill see you soon!!!

p.s. hands on helmut wont be required~lol~ but we start at the sound of a shotgun:D

also keithsburg is on the iowa illinois border~ this race on the 27th is for district 22 points~

I went and rode the course yesterday, its a pretty good lay out running oposite of last year, Kim, didn' you get 11th. last year? I was watching you,,,lol
The track is pretty dry accept for a couple small muddy areas, I cleared out most of it.... I talked with Shipley a little, he says he won't be racing this year, I think I may have talked him into it though, 16 years in a row why stop now.
Listen for the shotgun, that guy is pretty tricky lol

Most of the Hare Schrambles in Iowa are bike only. We have bee tring to get Andy of www.iatvhss.com (http://www.iatvhss.com) to join the District but so far it has not worked out.

Shawn H
02-28-2005, 08:28 PM
I think thats April 10th:D

How come Quads only race for 1 hr? I would like to go but I also want to run 2hrs>

I'm not sure its worth the 6.5hr drive to only race 1 hr:ermm:

montycarlo
03-01-2005, 05:19 AM
I agree Snowgasm - I needed a 2 hour race badly! However it was only a 1/2 hour drive for me so I went! :D I didn't get a good start as I had to stand alongside and tap on the starter relay under rear fender at the shotgun to get my junk to crank over. I am told I was 3rd to last leaving the line and I finished 15th moving up all the time. Another hour I'd have caught up to that girl fo' sure! :p

03-01-2005, 05:38 AM
snowgasm,
you don't want to ride this course for 2 hours. i'm so sore i don't think i'll go to work today!!! i might come too.

Shawn H
03-01-2005, 07:09 AM
I rode the 12hrs for 4 hrs I think I CAN handle this course for 2hrs. I really only want to race this race cuz its so rough> It would be good conditioning for 2hrs:macho

Dont worry about me Ill be fine;)

Dont worry about me Ill be fine;) This course is a lot diffrent. Nothing but sand woops.

I also ran 4 of the 12hr race and felt better then last year after a hour on this track.

Also it is the first race of the season (for me) and the 12 hour is near the last.

I really missed it this year, Had quad troubles so I had to watch this time.

Shawn H
03-01-2005, 10:10 AM
I heard about all the Sand whoops, I'm not sure If I'll make the drive for an hr of racing,

You all sound like your out of shape:(

montycarlo

Varmint57 sez:
"Nothing but sand woops."

Yah. Don't forget this place has it's share of trees and switchback turns. I would have loved to go for 2 hours. I cheated a little by living close. I have actually been riding at Sandy Oaks (it's my only place to ride!) the last 5 weeks or so.... and I took the 2 Wednesdays before the race off of work to go and ride.

Shawn H
03-02-2005, 09:32 AM
Well there could be but most of us on here are talking XC so Personally I Could care less about any MX.

Dukeboy I think I will be crashing at your house Sat night.

I have not rode much either but I guarantee I go WFO for a 1hr:D

Jeff Foxworthy has a bit where he compares gay men to married men & how they are similar:

If your're at a looking around at a dog show instead of racing motocross you're either gay...... or married!
:blah:

Since I know you're married I'm not calling you gay! ;)
