I'm in the market for some new tires. I know i'm going to go with ITP holeshots, but I don't know if I should get the 20's or the 18's. I'm going to be racing MX, so ground clearance isn't that much of a problem. Is there really that much of a difference in body roll between 20's and 18's?

get the 18's if you race mx. i would invest in some beadlocks also

Go with the 18" MX Holeshots. They are about 1" tall than the 18" Turf Tamers.

18" all tha way for MX. In my opinion the Holeshot MX are a little wide for a dry track. All I have right now are the 18 - 9.5 - 8 Tamers. I would like to get a set of Holeshot 18" MX for the wet track conditions. 18"s spin around so much better in the corners. A bunch of my friends run the 18" Holeshot MX in all conditions and they seem to work real good for them.

would you still recomend 18's if I was running 22inch fronts?

It would look a lil weird, I'd go with 20" Holeshot fronts, or grooved radials.

18inch tamers are really 17inch. They make tamers in 11 inch wide (i got em). When trimmed tamers are the best tire you can use for mx, holeshots last longer though. You can really man handle a quad with 17inch tires and 19 inch fornts. If you had 22 front the steering traction would suck and you would be bottoming you rear shock alot more. Use stock wheels and get the 18 inch holeshots and 19-20 inch fronts. Get 20 mx fronts if your track is a lil rough, like a dirtbike track. Grooved radials are better! yet more expensive and dont do as good off the track.

i run stock front tires and 18 inch turfs on the back and its perfectly fine... when i put on the 18s it gave me a perfect gear ratio for the track also... its so much better then the 20s on it... the tamers are awesome tires also... they hook up great...

I have some for sale, almost new, $40 there 18x11x8, but one has a small hole in the side wall, a patch would fix it easily

What is the performance difference between 9.5 and 11 inch tamers?

I dunno, the 11's give me a lil more traction and make the bike a lil wider

Allot of people say 9.5s got more foward traction cause they kinda dig down more to find it, I dunno about that though. I know you can spin them faster therefore take turns better thought.

yea, i definatly prefer the 9.5s over anything, you can slide them easily on concrete once you get them to spin, thye get great traction, but if your track is mosty loose loam sand or whatever, you may want to groove them so they sink and get better traction
