ok i was messing around w/ my 450 yesterday and i was looking at it and i un screwed the 3 screws on the muffler and pulled the spark arrester out w/ this hurt it if i run it like this?

you may have to jet up a little to be completely safe.

ok now i did this it really run better it has better idle and kicks so much easier

Take it out and hit it through all the gears and see if it still runs good at the top

Yeah i just did this to mine also..i just picked mine up about 3 weeks ago and i hvant ordered my pipe yet...probably going with the LRD...nice power gains from what i saw. :D

i felt that it kicked over a lil easier and it seems to have a lil more power on bottom end but thats my opions

u may have to rejet i would but just read these ppls posts they said run through all gears see what itslike any popping bogging? if not it should be fine but id recommend rejetting, also i see your from westby where do you ride? not to far from here

i used to ride at my friend's mx track, but then they had to shut it down. so now i guess i will ride on the trails up by black river falls and i think i might do some racing in ettrick this summer

i had mine off my 450 for like 7 months and never rejetted...just put my HMF slip-on on though and went to a 175 main

ripped mine out a month ago...waiting on new pipe...i also cut air box lid like power up kit and re-jetted to a 180 main, it ripps...hard...little loud and not very complementing but it will hold me over until pipe arrives...i cant decide between the bill ballance pro series...alba racing....or the rossier..any feedback on these would be greatly appreciated.

check out trx450r.org's forum theres a thread on a pipe shootout. It has alot of good info on about 7 pipes dynos and all.

i was bored so i tried taking mine out today and as soon as i started it i decided to put it right back in, it sounded horrible, ill just wait until i get a pipe

No problem I actually opted to go with the HMF. Where in Vermont are you located? I used to have a friend up there in the Rutland area and there is some sick trails up there.

Im located in southern vermont, about 45 min south of rutland. Trails kick *** up here. very tight and technical in areas.
