Clutch problem 300 Ex

I am a quad newbie and i just pulled out my 300ex from the dust last weekend, and i have this problem where once ists started and i put it into 1st gear, it stalls.

Its like the clutch isnt fully engaged. I lifted the rear end and in 1st gear with the clutch pulled in, the tires still spin.


Anyone know what my problem is?

my 300 did the same thing mine was the clutch disks were stuck togeather (sp) it had set for like a year before i got it..hope this helps..

maybe the oil is thick in it from sitting ? just let it idle and warm up good and then drain it and change the filter?

If the plates are stuck you can ride it around and try to free them up. You can try to adjust the cabel with the adjuster on the clutch perch and down pn the motor. If none of this fixes it, sounds like its time for a new clutch.
