are these things worth the time to put on? my 400ex is stock right now but do plan on a pipe, filter, and jetting...

They do help in cooling a little bit and make your quad stand out from everyone elses that much more

they are proven to lower operating temp. not by a whole lot but they do actually serve a purpose besides being another open spot to put stickers on.

Who cares if they help with coolig...looks alone is worth it!!

A lot of people care about cooling, and yes they do make a difference;) I run OMF's and they work very well

tinners are good,cheap,and look good cuz they're not too big and mount to the frame

Of course they do, including myself, I'm running a 440 and that thing runs HOT in summer. But don't you think that a lot more people on this site care about looks...? You do have to admit that a good set of scoops looks trick...

I think people rather have a quad that looks alright but runs like a champ rather than a quad that looks great but runs like sh*t.
I don't think there are too many people on this site that would give up performance and reliabilty for looks. Maybe if your real rich and money doesn't matter, but I don't think there are too many of those on this site.
