Anybody know anywhere to ride within about 6 hours within central Arkansas.

Forest Hill and LA Dunes are about seven hours away. LA Dunes is just south of Forest Hill. And just north of Forest Hill is an old military base that is maintained for riding and camping. We drove about seven hours to ride there, I'd say it was worth it that once but I would not do it again.

I don't have a clue where any of those places are. Could you please be more specific. Do they have a website?

No website that I know of. But here are the directions for the military base:
From I-49 Exit 66:
Go west on SR 112 towards Forest Hill;
Pass through Forest Hill;
Just after the RR crossing, turn right (north) on Hwy 165;
Travel 3-4 miles and turn left on SR 122;
Look for signs for campground or riding area.

Here are the directions for LA Dunes:
From I-49 Exit 66:
Go west on SR 112 towards Forest Hill;
Pass through Forest Hill;
Just after the RR crossing, turn left (south) on Hwy 165;
Travel 3-5 miles and watch for sign on right;
Turn right on 113 (?);
Travel a few miles watch for sign;
Turn right onto a gravel road that leads into LA Dunes.

To see these roads look on http://www.mapquest.com and type in Forest Hill, LA. You can also do driving directions from your town/city to Forest Hill, LA, and it will tell you how to go.

there's actually a lot of places within 6 hours:

Mill Creek Trail in the White Rock national forest area southeast of Fayetteville. Much of this is very rocky. The trails are marked and there are usually maps at the trail head. 28 mile loop with many trails in between. Some very steep areas, so be careful. Here is a link:

Wolf Pen Gap in Mena (about 3 hours south of Fayetteville). Haven't been there, but plan to go this year. Have heard it is great.

A place in southwest Missouri is Chadwick. Great area with marked and groomed trails. Close to Branson, so it's a little haul, but well worth it. Here's a link: http://www.fs.fed.us/r9/marktwain/recreation/trails/trail_index.htm

In Pea Ridge, there is a motocross track that has dirt bike and quad racing, every Saturday, I think. Here's a link: http://www.nwamxpark.com/

There is a Harescramble series in Arkansas that is apparently a lot of fun. Here is a link: http://www.arkansasharescramble.com/

There is a new area in Hot Springs. Kinda pricey, but they are putting a lot of work into it. Here's a link: http://www.orvpark.com/

Lastly, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, there are over 500,000 acres of riding available on Weyerhauser land. Broken Bow is 30 minutes west of DeQueen, Arkansas. There is a fee, and you can pay and get trail info at the local Wal-Mart in Broken Bow.

i'm sure there are other areas that i don't know about, but this will give you a start. Hope this all helps.

I live in a town called Elkins. Its about 10 miles south of Fayetteville on highway 16. About 20-30 minutes away from me is a riding area named Mill Creek. Its named this because its around a creek called Mill Creek. You turn on Mill Creek Road out of Combs, Arkansas and its paved for a while then turns to dirt. THIS ROAD IS VERY ROUGH. After you drive for a few miles, you will begin to see campgrounds on the right side of the road. A while later you will want to hang a left to stay on Mill Creek Rd. If you stay straight you'll be on a road destined for White Rock. After turning left you will approach trail head. There is a map, restroom, and a loading ramp. There are also more campgrounds on up the road. E-mail me if you have any questions.

Here is a link to my website that has some Mill Creek pics.

Hey check out our website at: www.nwaatvrc.freehomepage.com We have directions to alot of riding areas. Including Mill Creek, Twin Cities (We were there this past weekend), And Little Sahara. About 8 hrs from Little Rock Area but more worth it then The Dunes. At least you can ride after dark, unlike The Dunes. We are starting a chapter of our club in the Little Rock area soon. If you are interested let me know.
