I recently removed my kickstart to give it a good polish. Now when I am riding my kickstart seems to fling out a lot. Was there a spring or something that might have fallen out when I removed my kickstart cause it sure seems like there had to have been something holding the kickstart in? Thanks for any help.

I dont know, but if there was, you'll see a clip or something that the spring would attach to on the kicker. Did u notice anything, that may look missing. Anyhow someone with a 450r can tell ya foresure.

No, didn't really notice anything missing. I may just be blind. I searched the floor where I was working and didnt find anything.

that is the correct answer it's on the inside of the shaft the kicker goes on so it's hard to notice

Yep , you lost the ball or spring.
If you take the whole kicker off and take it to Homd Depot and go tot he hardware isle (where they have all the drawers) you can find a set up that works for about .25

Ok, so I found the little ball bearing, but no spring if there even is one cause I don't see a spot for it. Go to install the kicker, drop the bearing, lost forever in the sandlake parking lot. Anyway does anyone know the size of the little bearing so I can get another one, possibly from Home Depot like KGBG has said? I don't know how many sizes of ball bearings there are out there but I'm sure there are quite a bit.

Its a small ball, it mounts inside the joint, tha mounts on the kick shaft. If you look at this picture, then take the whole thing apart, you should be able to see where it has to go, thereis a hole for it.

what kind of loctite did you use on the kickstart screw?
i lost my ball bearing when i polished my kick starter. i found the spring and i ordered a new ball bearing. but i took my skidplate off to send my shocks to GT thunder and found the ball it got stuck in the chain grease.
