Cool!! My buddy's dropping of his loader tomorrow night so I can get an early start on Sat. We rutted the track up pretty bad last Sun so it'll take me all day to straighten it out and maybe add a few things. I'll send you a pm with directions and my #.

#88yfz
02-11-2005, 08:14 PM
Elkas definately,a-arms and swingarm i'm not sure yet i want a good reliable set up me and cliff are looking into every option.I'm sure nick shupe#133 will be at budds this weekend and one c rider new guy on cliffs old yfz ,sean.Everybody else is still getting ready with a little practice. But everyone seems to be pumped for this year.

Delaware152
02-11-2005, 08:19 PM
I think Kevin Lusk may be going this weekend. I just want to ride for a few weeks. I turn 30 on Tuesday so at least I can get a little more track time if I want to. I may make it down there the last weekend of Feb depending on the weather.

#88yfz
02-11-2005, 08:25 PM
I have not talked to everyone but i imagine they will be there by the end of feb. also if the mud and bad weather doesn,t leave.I think i,m going to the danville national also this year. What about you any race schedule for you besides D7.

Delaware152
02-11-2005, 08:31 PM
I would like to do a few nationals but it's tough for me to get the day's off work. I will probaly do some of the district races and I hope to get down to Miller's Tavern. My dad says forget the district and race wherever I want to. I am not sure about some the district races in BFE PA.

#88yfz
02-11-2005, 08:37 PM
Yeah disrtict is not as important to me i'm going to race the budds, seaford, and va. races. I will race millers to, and i will race were everybody else wants to go.I really just want to get better and have a equally competitive bike to see how it effects me.

Delaware152
02-11-2005, 08:42 PM
You will do fine...you finished top five last year. Most of the guys you raced with..beat last year and others you ride with all the time. You don't need alot of motor work. I have a stock motor and I got decent starts most of the time and I am bigger than you. I remember giving some start tips last year...forget everything I told you. lol

#88yfz
02-11-2005, 08:48 PM
No i didn,t forget one tip or gate pick either.Just need a good gate pick number to take your spot.LOL
I just need to get back on the bike,i,m not getting any motor work just freshen it up for the year.
I do apreciate all the good advice best year i ever had racing.

Delaware152
02-11-2005, 08:56 PM
I was afraid of that but your on your own now. lol

Hey Gary.
April 30 practice day?
I would really have expected more from you. Diggers going to be at budds along with any other serious atv'er. Including you. make it the week before and it would be sweet. a day to practice inbetween Nats.

TWISTED
02-15-2005, 07:47 PM
Yeah I know. They were supposed to schedule everything clear of Nats. D-7 and D-13 races. Guess somebody made a boo boo. I'll definately be at the Creek that weekend. You back together yet? What kind of shocks did you go with?

TWISTED
02-15-2005, 07:49 PM

D-7#61-450r
02-15-2005, 07:53 PM
Quads only and I'll mark it on the calender if not well lets not go there.

Hey Twisted, how come I haven't gotten an invitation to ride at your place.

Fast yeah, I can drag my quad out the garage and to the end of the driveway hows that for fast. It is just going to have the intimidation factor I hope.

#88yfz
02-15-2005, 08:15 PM

Concerning Miller's:

About the April 30th practice, not going to be moved. I have to work the weekends of the 2nd and 16th. On the 9th, I have a 10K to run in Richmond. The 23rd & 24th I have a Jet ski race, so we are kind of stuck on the 30th. I know most of you guys will be at Budds, but what can a brotha do? That is why we decided to add another practice, May 21st. I won't be there that weekend, but Shannon will, so things will be under control.

One change all of you should be aware of is that this year, only Friday's races will start at 7:30 PM. We have decided to move Saturday's schedule up a couple of hours, so practice will start at @ noon and races will start at 5:30. Being out there until 1 AM both nights was just too much for us to deal with.

As for the track, that is still up in the air. If I get my way (doubtful) there will be a few changes. But, more than likely, what you saw last year is what you will get this year.

One last thing, at the last race last year, there was some confusion (because of a mistake I made) concerning pay outs. At both practices, we will have the info on payouts, classes, restrictions, etc. There will be no grey areas this year. I always tell everyone who races Miller's that we are all volunteers, so no BS, from us or riders. I want everyone to have fun and enjoy themsleves.

I think it is going to be a great season. I have heard from a few people who are pretty fast from D13, and I am reading here that some of the fast D7 guys are coming, I woudl love nothing better than to have to have qualifiers.

If anyone has any suggestions, or questions, feel free to drop me a line via email.

Sincerely,
Scott McKenna
Race Director - Miller's Tavern

I'll make it worth the 1st place rider's while!!! This is me talking not anybody associated with Millers. This is my own contribution!!!

Delaware152
02-15-2005, 09:03 PM

Ouch that sucks. Probally Nick Shoupe, I don't think anyone else is Ready yet. Nick is a man on a mission. Also has 2 backup quads like someone else I know.

I talked to Paul today. He went to get xrays and it's not broke..so that is good news. I had a good day at Seaford today...the bike actually ran with no problems. I may make down to Budd's next weekend but I don't want to waste all day with only a couple people in the class. That's not alot of fun.

Yeah del152 cliff talked to paul earlier and i heard the samething.I'm not sure how many riders will be there next weekend, ian hurt his wrist in the second moto up there today.

Not sure if I am going next weekend. I can't believe there are so few people there. When I raced there in Feb. there was always a decent turnout. There must be a lot of money being spent and wrenches being turned. lol Did you finally get to ride over the weekend?

#88yfz
02-21-2005, 06:45 AM
Not yet but i'am off work today so it might happen today. The weather report has been bad every weekend i think that is turning people away.Valve adjustment today also.

I haven't played in over a year!! I would rather ride, but if we get thi snow, it's gonna turn my place into soup!!! Too much of a pain to straighten up after we rut it up while it's that wet. Besides it'll do me some good to run around instead. Are you gonna race Danville this year? If everything goes as planned I'll be in Gainesville for that race. Can't wait!!

He is starting to like it. He didn't have his race bike yet. It has a TC motor, different linkage setup and a different ignition. He was alot faster this weekend and feeling better each time he rides. I rode it this past weekend for a little...not bad but not much bottom end. It's hard to get used to a different bike in 15 minutes but I did jump everthing but the 90 footer.
88...I need all the practice I can get... I am getting old.

#88yfz
02-23-2005, 07:21 PM
Yeah older and faster!!!Is gil starting back at the nationals?

Delaware152
02-23-2005, 07:27 PM
