ok im lookin for my first car and down the road someone is sellin an 85 fiero its in good looking shape no rust of coarse cuz there fiberglass or thats what i heard, its go the 2.5 4 cylinder 95,000 miles new seats and everythings good except it has a flat tire. he is askin 2200 for it i have been lookin and fieros for a while and im pretty sure thats what im gettin but do you thinks 2200 is a little pricey? any thing i should look out for when looking at these cars and are the good cars? and finaly are they fast?;)

i dont mean to hurt you feelings or nothin, but those cars are pieces of chit. they are famous for having numerous problems and not being a dependable car. if i were you i would look for something else. if you are just dead set on getting it, dont pay 2200 for it, it may be worth about 1500, and be ready to put some cash into in the near future to keep it goin.

I'd think you could find a lot better vehicle for $2,200 than a high mileage, 4 cyl. fiero....I used to own one for what its worth

yea, they wernt very realiable, nor fast, but at 16 you dont need anything fast. you can find a stock early 90's civic for around that price. good car, realiable and easy to work on.

i agree with everyone else 2200 is way to high for a piece of crap like that!!
its worth MAYBE 1000 and thats pushing it

your better off getting like a nissan 240 or something for that price

Price isnt to bad, they fly with the right engine. But if this is your first car, and ur buying a fiero... have fun with insurance pal ! Id find something more affordable on insurance, cause they will nail u down if u put that under ur name as a beginner driver :scary:

haha, my brother used to have one of those and i'd drive it around, it was pretty weak and over heated ALL the time, the whole motor in the back thing was a little weird for it only being a 4 cyl.

yeah i thought it sounded kinda high priced i put in kellyblue book and its worth 750 in good condition and 1100 in excellent so i guess i ll look for a diferent one. i really dont want to get a jap car i would like to get a feiro gt v 6. they are goin for like 1500 to 2000, since my dad wants one it is going to be the easiest to convince him into helping me pay for one.

Junk.
Buy an old civic or something .. even a sentra .. cheap .. and hold together much better.

JUNK !!!!!

My buddy's brother has 2 of them sitting in the yard right ... both don't run and they have low miles . For that amount of money , you can get something way better .

YEA listen to everyone on here Feiros are know for their mechanical problems. If you buy it you will be sinking money it this thing left and right. If i were you I would find a little truck since you have a quad.
Plus the price on that Feiro should be about 1000-1500 tops.
For 2500 my friend just bought a 1995 GMC sonoma with the 2.2 4 banger and a 5 speed. gets good gas milege and is a good reliable truck. Plus parts are redially available. If i were you i would forget Feiros and get a truck. or get a car of some sort that is newer and less miles. but i would get the truck so you could haul ur quad.
Just my .02 since

i agree find you a truck, a mazda, nissan little s10 can all be picked up for a good price, get good milage and haul your quad. forget about trying to fixit up also, just practice taking care of it because "most" teenagers dont take the responsibility to do it.

we have a truck already that i can use when i need it so i think im goin to get a car and about fixing it up i wouldnt mind doin that but i don t want it if its goin to be broke down all the time. i didnt know the fiero were so unreliable i guess i look in to somthing else, unless i can get one for like 6 or 7 hundred bucks. it would just be a first car untill i can afford a nice new car after i get a job i only work in the summer now so once im 16 i can get a real job

my first truck was 77 Ford highboy for $500 but I have since sold it im getting a 1990 Bronco II thats a 2.9 EFI v6, 5 speed,4x4. with 78,000 miles. I cant see me buying a car for a long time unless I pick up a older ford to restore like a stang, cougar or falcon. Here is a pic of my old truck before I sold it right After putting some rear patch panels in.

Slow, junk, and a death trap. Fun to drive though they are just like street legal go carts. Thats what I took my drivers test in. Drop a caddy northstar motor in there.

They are like fat chicks fun to ride but you dont want your friends to see.:blah:
