There is no best bike. You need the bike the suits your riding style the best. Yes a 400 will outrun a 300 in everyway but if all you do is trail ride with no intention of racing then the 400 isnt for you...get my point.

i think that a RAPTOR, yes, you heard me right, is the best for overall everything. (I am gonna get flamed HUGE for this one) It doesnt handle too bad, and the 02's arent geared so high i dont think. I just put a 12 tooth front sprocket (1 down from stock) on ours, and its alot better. It has reverse, something the 400 lacks, and is quite a bit better off in the horsepower department. If you really cant go through a corner on it, then buy an axle for it, and if you still cant, then you need to get better. I can ride the raptor just as fast through the woods as i can any 400ex of the same modification. The thing just works, and the 02's are better..

400ex's are sweet bikes

The Z400 will have better handling than the raptor. But being its first year it might have problems, but i think it will be worth it. It has liquid cooling and reverse too.

400ex or raptor either one I like 400ex more but raptor's don't handle as bad as most people think either.

hey 440 you bring that gncc racer to the dunes and ill race you on my wifes r but for the best quad i have owned Rs since they came out so i am kinda attached to them but i ride with 400 exs banshees, rapters and even a brandnew ds650 all these guys have been riding with me for years and we all have smiles when we get back to camp but if you are going to woods race buy a 400ex thats just my .02 cents

how do you put pics on

The best quad for you is the one that suits your purpose best. The other factor is which feels the best when you ride it. I could tell you that I own a 400ex and I think it's the best, but that wouldn't be fair. I've ridden pretty much everything, and I'll tell you this...My friends and I often trade rides when we go to the dunes. There is a 400ex, Banshee, Raptor, DS650 and a Cannibal and we all have ridden them and talk about what we like and don't like. The consensus is there is no clear cut winner, just what we are most comfortable on.
So if you have some buddies with various bikes, take'em for a spin and find out what is right for you. Brand loyalty doesn't need to apply.

i'm guessing your asking because you want to go buy one. well if you aren't sure what you like, go test ride them all but the polarises hehe. who cares what other people think, are they going to be spending your money to ride a bike they want? nope, so find out what YOU like, if you like the blaster or warrior or something people will give you greif. but who cares, if you like it thats what counts dude. i had to deal with "get a banshee, or a raptor" for 2 months from my friends. guess what bike i ended up getting? 400ex. imo its the best bike out there, even with out reverse, i'm just strong enough to pick it up and huck it arround.

for me i will say the 250ex, because what little free time i have, i dont want to be messing with a chain and all the adjustments that come with a clutch. NO REALLY THAT AINT IT, my wife wouldnt let me get a 400. so i will just be a little behind you thats all, but still im happy with it, like you really care anyway:blah

No flame man, But
Just becasue you dont ride honda doesnt mean you can't be on this site , Hmm the Non honda forum , and everyone is stated to their own opinion, I like banshees and 400's The best trail bike would have to be a blaster or 300ex , Best mess around bike would have to be a 400ex, Best sand bike would have to be a LT500 or banshee, Best Mx bike would have to be a 250r And a modded 400 . Its all personal preferance there is no real to this question its all what you want to do with it .
Well Just my penny change .
I hope I helped,
Kris

I have been thinking more and the reason I think the 400ex is best is because it can be modded to have decent, reliable power. It is the best handling four stroke and is great for about every type of riding except for dunes. When I went to bussey yesterday is all I saw was 400ex after 400ex. HEck I was riding with a group of nine of them and my neighor just got one. Usuelly when we would find a new hill or jump a 400ex out of the banshee's raptors blasters and lt's was the first to hit and/or land it. They are the best for xc and motorcross with the 250r like handling and they got the lowend torque for where I ride at where you don't have much of a run at a lot of the stuff and it can be ridden and make power all over the powerband. Its great for older beginners because it has such a easy learning curve and I think the only short coming is the power and cost of upgrading the motor. But still most people think they need all this power but when you are racing them they are all over the track and riding very inconsistent and not holding there line, mean while i'm holding the perfect line and landing each jump perfect and holding my speed through the corners.
