Well since I dropped out of the quad builder of the year contest heres where I am on the project. The motor is and 87, and is mostly stock. It is bored .010 over, and has a pro design cool head. Before the project is done I plan on getting the motor bored to a 275. The frame is a stock frame, 89. I gusseted it and painted it myself. Everything else that I have so far is a stock 88/89 swingarm thats been polished, chrome LSR +2 a arms, works pro sierries shocks with rezzies, Sparks racing exaust, Kilein carb, front hubs and rotors, +2 stainless brake lines, and a twist throtle. I think that is everything for now. And in a couple days I am sending out money for the linkage, spindles, and other small parts. Now for the pics:cool:

As you can see this project is slowly taking over my entire room.

The last one there kinda shows how much metal flake is in the paint, but still don't do it justice.

I loaded them to photo bucket before posting them here. I meant to make them smaller but forgot.

i got my motor in my frame yesterday, but i cant get a spark:mad: i got the bike in milk crates though, so anything of the electronics could be bad. yours is lookin really nice though. hope you have a big door to roll that thing outof your room lol.

Well first off let me say that I'm not stupid enough to compleatly put it together in my room....or am I?

And I should have the motor in next week, I got motor mounts, a headstay, and a bolt kit getting shipped out tomorow, so I'll see if this beast fires up.

I did paint it. I did it in my auto body class. I used the spary guns. First I sanded down the whole frame with 180 gritt sand paper to get a good base for the primer, I didn't have acsses to sand blast it, that would have been better. Then I sprayed on an epoxy primer, one coat that was enought to cover up all the surfaces, then I sparyed 2-3 coats of base coat, then another 2-3 coats of clear. To get the best results put the clear on as hevily as you can without causing runs. Running all those layers of paint and primer can start to cause some pritty bad orange peal(the little bumps in paint that hasn't been wet sanded and buffed), A heavy clear will help with that, and I was surprised at how orange peal free my frame ended up.

That should be about it.
