If you are serious about sand riding then I would run 8 paddle haulers from Skat Trak. Those on any of the douglas rims (blue, red, black, or yellow labels) would be great. They are going to do better than sand stars because stars are a molded tire that that will not cup the sand as well as Haulers. I ran sand skate IIs on my 416 for a while and I finally switched to Haulers and noticed a huge difference in hill climbs and in drag racing hook ups. They're a great tire.

Sandstars blow. They are a heavy tire with lousy R&D. Get either Skat Track 8 paddle haulers or Skate II's. The haulers will be one of the lightest tires you can get, and they last quite a while. Sand Skate II's are also great tires. If I had an EX i would probably run the Skates, but that is my opinion.

7 paddle haulers , I love mine. There great all around tires. Perfect grip for the power with out any drag. Ive heard some say that 8 paddles is just to much for a high reving 416 and that 7 is just right.

sand stars dont suck and you can turn fine with straight paddles. get the ones that you can get a better deal on. i dont think you will notice the difference between the two. my uncle couldnt tell the difference with his 416 and he hit 40.5hp. it still doesnt have enough hp to need hualers over sand stars. accualy if i where you i would go with the stars. we have about 5 sets of hualers that have thrown paddles after 3-4 rides. not good when you pay the most money for a paddle that lasts 4 rides. just my 2 cents.

i totaly agree. if you do go with haulers i would go with a 7 paddle. once you hit abot 45hp is when i would go to an 8 paddle.
