well june 18/19 is out for mt morris

june 11th and 12 are out for the mountineer

june 25th and 26th are out for the wisp

june 5th and 6th are out bc thast when most people graduate h.s. and go on vacation

mayb 28th and 29th is a national in TN which is FAR away from PA so it won't stop that many... also its mt morris for bikes so there will be VERY few bikes there and it'll be a quad only weekend... we'll have the place to ourselfs...

I was up riding at rausch on saturday. It was alittle cold but I had a great time. The ground was frozen and had some frozen dirt clogs around the track but both the expert and intermediate tracks were in decent condition. If anyone is interested sometime around the end of this month or the begining of march I'll try to set up a ride.

I'm gonna try to make this. The 250r should be done end of april, so it should be ready for this.

And out of quriosity, is there trails there along with the track, and how hard is the esyest track, chances are that it would be my first time to a real mx track. And if I remember the rauch scene from huevos 6 it seems pritty gnarly.

Yes there are several acres of trails which you are aloud to ride on next to the mx tracks. The intermediate atv/dirtbike track is alot of fun for any rider. I'm had no problems hitting any of the jumps on the track with a 416ex with stock shocks. This track doesnot have any jumps that you could wreck on and cause serious damage unless your being stupid. Remember its always better to overshoot a jump then case it. I always take a lap or two before I hit hit any jumps to see if they made any changes to the track. If your ever unsure of a jump watch somebody hit it before you do. The expert tracks jumps are alot closer and you have to have better rythm to clear the larger ones.

the last time I was there, they only had the expert track open, and boy, did I get some strange looks as I was ripping it apart on my atc250r. I love the intermeiate track, its nice how it goes through the woods into open track, then back in the woods, it has some nice jumps too.
That hill the goes straight down and straight back up in a step-up is awesome and then shoot into a turn, then big tabletop, wide sweeping turn, table top, sharp turn after, another table top, then the huge tabletop and back into the woods, thats my favorite part.
The expert track is cool too, the small long table top, the turn on the hill, another table top, sharp turn, another jump, turn on a hill, a few more turns, 2 doubles, and a wide speeping turn into the beginning of the track.
My friends said the woods were nice and somewhat rock free, i didn't go on them.

Kilabanshee

This is how I remember the intermediate track from the entrance.

Doubles on the left side but you can go strait and avoid them, High berm going right, tabel top, left hand turn, 2 singels, right hand turn, little downhill sorta jump, left hand turn, small step up, right hand turn 2 small singels, right hand turn, then an S turn which you will see the parking lot infront of you, small double with a tabeltop infront of it, downhill jump again, go throught the woods make a few turns, first tabel top is kinda crapy don't get to much air and has a pot hole on the left hand side of the landing area, after that you go down alittle enbankmant and have a tabeltop jump infront of you which you can hit pretty fast and catch some nice air with an easy downhill landing, take a left and do a small up hill double, you take a quick right and go down alittle valley, then you begin to go up hill, take a quick left around a berm and infront of you will be a fairly larger step down double, after that double you quick turn right and go downhill towards the step up which is worn down and almost impossible to do, then you take a quick right turn to a tabeltop, then do a quick slide left and have another small step down tabeltop, you turn left around the small high berm and have another small tabeltop infront of you, take a quick right and have the last tabeltop long but almost impossible to get significant air off of, then you lap starts again.

Sorry for not using punctuation! I used comas so it would go fast. I would write up the expert track but I'm sure most of you in here know how thats set up. I thought maybe this would be apealing to people who haven't been to the track and who are interested in comming.

They already redid the expert track at Rausch..a lot of smoothing and took out the triples at the front. Go figure.. they up the price and they start removeing the good stuff.

Mxjunkie
04-30-2005, 10:47 PM
They didnt up the price you just have to pay an insurance fee YOUR FIRST TIME of the season there. not everytime.. I think we should have a ride set like twice a month or something this summer

I'll be riding a white banshee.:)

The website says you have to pay the $15 fee however I was just there in March for the first time and did not have to pay it. It was never even mentioned. I dont know if they did away with it or just forgot to charge us or what happened. I am heading there with a group of buddies May 15th weekend. If anyone will be there then let me know.

yea fyi i heard they completely redid the "usual" atv track. like the first stepup they added another landing ramp basically at the base of the landing so ya can really fly over it and such. basically from what i hear made it huge. i should go up and scout for ya'll being i only live 10 minutes from there....if only i wasnt so lazy haha

the other old "supercross" track is now the intermediate track and the 2nd track is the expert atv track. havent ridden on either so i have no feedback on them.

is it worth the money to ride there cause i might go up this saturday.

swank78
05-06-2005, 10:57 AM
In my opinion, it is well worth the price. It is a playground for big boys. $35 to have a smile from ear to ear all day long. Is Traxx opening this year or are they done for?

bansheeguy77
05-07-2005, 02:41 PM
just got back from the raush crick.....the normal atv track has changed a bunch since the last time i was there. i will take you on a virtual lap being thats the best way to describe it.

start out with the usual table thats always been there, next step-up, but they added a 3rd hill after the landing so now if you hit it its about a 100ft gap or so. straight, downhill, uphill, turn, down, up hill, straight with a lil bump, that 60ft double is still there. that big berm after it is gone its a small berm into about a 15-20 ft double into another berm, small straight into another berm, decent sized straight away into about a 90ft double. usual berm into the big stepup. it seems as tho they shaved about a foot off the overall height of the landing..i could be wrong tho. after hte stepup landing it goes into a berm (no double) into the 75 ft table. then the double double back section is unchanged.

it is good for the advanced riders but 95% of the average riders will find it unappealing and shy away from it. most everything is just way too big. about seen a yfz bite it on the 90fter he was JUST cresting it and honestly im not sure how he was landing it cause i was about to run over to help him he came up short a few times.
now the track beside it the old supercross track is where everyone goes. didnt get the best look at that track but it seems fun. some tables about 30-40 ft or so and overall just the average weekend warrior track. so yeah at the next rausch ride im sure 90% of the guys who show up wont be on the "expert atv" track for long.

just my 10 cents.....sorry if i offended anyone

EX 80
05-07-2005, 04:31 PM
yeah i went last week and some of the gaps were huge on the expert track. I didn't even go on it cause the wind was so gusty. I was getting pulled by the wind alittle on the the other track.

deathman53
05-08-2005, 05:43 AM
I was there yesterday too, I'm the guy who was riding the trike. I didn't like the woods track, I loved the expert atv track, but the problem is I'm scared to death of doubles, I know I could have make them. last year the woods track was alot better

Mxjunkie

are we going to have more during the summer?

05-11-2005, 10:01 AM
The expert track isn't as bad as some say. There are only 2 maybe 3 jumps that most won't hit. I rode it on a nearly stock 450r and just rolled the two doubles and the big step up. You can still put in some good hard laps. I am hoping to get up there this weekend 14th or something and the following weekend.

swank78

The weather doesnt look like it is going to cooperate this weekend but I will be there with 3-5 buddies depending on how many punk out because of the rain.

the expert track isn't bad at all, I was ripping on it all day on my atc, so that has to say sometning about it. I rolled the doubles, next time I go I'm gonna do the small doubles(if I grow the balls), its alot of fun. heres a link to a page of me on the expert track.
