benefits are less twitchy steering. there are two basic kinds. a denton stick type (cheap, 150 or less) or the handlebar mounted scotts type (expensive, but supposedley does a better job)
good for any quad, any kind of riding

I have an 05 YFZ450 with the 2" higher houser stem and tried to order one and scotts does not make a dampner for it, I would like to get a good handlebar mounted one but cant find one. Anyone know of another handlebar mounted one.

Another handlebar mounted stabilizer is the GPR. Then there is the W.E.R. that mounts to the bottom of the steering stem (I am going on very minimal amount of knowledge about the w.e.r. so if i am wrong someone correct me). Which one is better i have no idea. I know that the GPR is much more expensive than the Denton style, its just about three times as much, i called Duncan and they said 425.00 for a GPR.

Thanks for the pics...I get the idea now. Not so sound like a retard, but what is an anti fade locknut?

Here is a picture of the wer mounted on my 400. Ive only got to ride with it once, but It is way smoother feeling then my denton stabilizer. Kinda liek going from stock shocks to aftermarket type of diffrence feel.

an anti fade lock nut is an axle nut that goes onto the axle and is designed differently than the stocker to make sure it does'nt back off
