do the stock rockers have a wareing problem.

no, but if your willing to spend the money, there are builder that will tell you they do. i had my 350ex with stock rockers and HD valve springs and a big cam and never had a problem. my tc330 also had stock rockers with a tc gncc grind cam and no problems

NOPE I have a 96 300ex & we put hardened rockers in it about 6 mo. ago & when we took the stock ones out they looked great!! In fact we kept them just in case :)

eh i put in hardened rockers just incase :o
60 bucks a piece through a local dude

its funny... everyone i asked about a year ago said to get them hardened... :mad: lol

lol, i had always heard that myself and read it in mags, then i had two motors built by prominet builders and neither installed hardend rockers

This is hearsay, but someone told me that the factory chrome has been prone to chipping/flaking on the 300ex rockers. The guy made it sound like running my 300 with the FST cooler without hardened rockers would increase the chances of it happening. He told me Mickey Dunlap told him that but I don't know if it's legit or not. I have been waiting to find a deal on a good stg. 2-3 webcam and rockers because I thought an aggressive drop in cam would cause premature wear in the top end. If any of you guys know any good aggressive drop in cams let me know, I just don't want to take a chance wearing anything out prematurely.

Im putting in hardened rockers with my stage 3 webcam. :ermm:
