8 or 9 inch rims for mx

I'm running 18 inch mxr4's and I was thinking of going with 8 inch rims for mx because i'll be using stock shocks this year, has anyone had any problems with 8 inch rims? oh yea and they would probably be douglas red line rims

go with 8inchers, but use the burgard beadlocks. good quality and cheap.

8 inch wheels are the most common size for mx but the tires slide more in the turns due to having more side wall flex. but the 8 inch rimm will also give a smoother ride

i strongly suggest not to get douglas 190s if your riding mx. im 130 pounds and both rims were bent to hell after coming up short on a 35-40 foot table. if you do get them, make sure to always keep the tires fully pumped up so theyres no way the rim will take the hit. I run 8x8 burgard beadlocks and love them, its worth the extra money
